Mocama Marine LLC (“Mocama” or “Company”) is a manufacturer of two premier boat brands including: Action Craft (a revered brand of flats boats and bay boats) and Southwind (a premium brand of high-quality deck boats).

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Tech is responsible for warehousing receiving and inventory control operations.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including all necessary hands-on functions of department.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on cycle count metrics and processes, kitting, scanning and inventory systems.
  • Work with all locations and departments to ensure proper returns processes are being adhered to.
  • Work with purchasing to resolve vendor issues.
  • Identify shipping quality issues (shortage, overage, mis-shipment), analyze failure and experiment with improvement plans to improve customer experience.
  • Identify inventory discrepancies, analyze root-causes and implement plans to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Track quality issues along with report results against targets.
  • Standardize product receiving/storing techniques to improve accuracy and product identification.
  • Support growth and mitigate complexity challenges with other departments.
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, communication and productivity.
  • Maintain safe, organized, and clean working conditions.
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough knowledge of all parts and materials..
  • All other duties as may be required.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & CHARACTERISTICS

  • Education, Experience & Knowledge:
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse/inventory management.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Inventory Control knowledge.
  • Good communication skils.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Organized and detail oriented. Ability to solve problems.
  • Information Systems:
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and inventory control systems.
  • Language & Communication:
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, electronic mail, procedures and performance documents, as examples, in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively conduct meetings in person and with technology assistance.
  • Mathematical & Reasoning Ability Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to utilize data to make business decisions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to wear personal protective equipment, including gloves, apron, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, safety glasses and a respirator. Plant environment varies with outside temperature and noise levels vary in different production areas.
  • Possible exposure to chemicals common to boat manufacturing processes.
  • Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirator etc.
  • Must be able to physically handle the requirements of the job, including but not limited to, lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing stairs, reaching, grasping, gripping, pushing, pulling, and spending entire working hours on your feet, etc.
  • Must be able to understand all safety related documents and work-site rules and practices, equipment operating instructions, documented safety management systems, and health and safety requirements.
